Jake - Episode 8

The Women Tell All.

And did they ever. The most interesting part of the show was when Rozlyn came out to defend herself and set the story straight. Prior to her introduction, the other women did admit to little incidents that they witnessed involving Rozlyn and the producer. But when Rozlyn was confronted with these women, she basically called all of them a bunch of liars. According to Reality Steve, the women were told what to say by the producers. I don't know what to believe. It's hard for me to imagine that the nicest girls in the house (Ella and Jessie) would lie like about what they saw, and I think that it would be pretty hard to fake their exasperated reactions whenever Rozalyn denied everything.

It was pretty entertaining.

They showed some previews for next week...we'll see if Reality Steve was right all along. And if he was, then I am curious to see how "After the Final Rose" plays out. I bet that if Jake did choose Vienna on the finale, they are no longer together now.

Luciana - 10 months

Our little girl is getting so big way too fast. She is crawling and cruising like a champ now. She is even starting to take a few steps on her own at times. Although I am not encouraging the walking phase yet, I am secretly excited. She plays a new game with me where she takes off crawling toward the steps and waits at the bottom until I come around the corner to scoop her up. She loves it. Sometimes I let to climb the steps when someone is right behind her.

She has a few more teeth now - all 4 front teeth are coming in now. She is constantly chewing on toys, bottles, books, and body parts. Those little teeth hurt! She bit John in the middle of church last week, and he was in pain. There were little imprints from her teeth on his wrist.

Pointing is her new thing. Sometimes when you ask her "where's mama?" or "where's daddy?," she will look for us and point. It melts our hearts. We know that she is going to be a talker because all she does is babble like we know what the heck she is saying.

We took her out in the big mounds of snow for a photo-shoot. With the massive amount of snow that we got this month, she looked so little next to the piles around the yard. We are just now waiting for spring to come so that all the snow will melt and we can finally play outside.

Stay warm in the meantime everyone!

Here are pictures from the last month:

Not a good laundry day

You know it's not a good laundry day when you open the dryer and smell chocolate.

Oh yes, there were 2 pieces of chocolate in pink wrappers in a shirt pocket or pant pocket of John's. I know that it couldn't have been one of mine because 2 pieces of chocolate wouldn't last 2 seconds in my pocket...they would have been directed to my mouth!

So that load is back in the washer...CRAP!

Jake - Episode 7

This was the fantasy date episode where Jake went on overnight dates with all 3 girls in St. Lucia.

Same old thing: they do some sort of day activity, go to dinner, talk, kiss, the note from Chris Harrison is presented allowing them to "fore go their individual rooms to spend the night as a couple in the fantasy suite," they go the suite, and then the doors close...wonder what happens then. Blah, blah, blah...seen it all before.

The only interesting part was when Ali called Jake the morning of the rose ceremony. She admitted that she had made a mistake by leaving and regrets it. She asked to come back. After stammering over his words, Jake said no. I was hoping that Reality Steve was wrong this time, but unfortunately, he was right. So Ali did not return.

And the final 2 are Tenley and Vienna. Bye-bye to Gia.

Next week is the "Women Tell All" episode, then the finale the following week.

We need some testosterone here!

I have 2 sisters.

My oldest sister has 3 girls.

I have 1 girl.

My middle sister is pregnant and just had her ultrasound this AM - another girl!

It is my father's lot in life to be surrounded by women!

I wonder if we will ever have a boy in our family.

Mr. Mom

Due to the massive amount of snow that we have been pummelled with, John has had the last few days off of work...should have gone into education!

I came home from work today to the smells of cleaning solutions:

bathrooms - scoured
furniture - dusted
bed sheets - laundered
carpet - vacuumed
cluttered - put away and organized

He may not be Michael Keaton (love him in that movie), but he's mine and I love him!

Jake - Episode 6

Reality Steve was right on the money.

Ali is gone...I must admit, I am bummed about it. I don't understand, but at the same time, I do understand.

I don't understand because she had a great hometown date with Jake during which she flat out told him that if he would propose to her that very day that she would say yes without a doubt. So how could she go from that to leaving him so abruptly?

I do understand because there are so many "what if"'s. What if she stayed, and he picked her? Great! She would have lost her job, but she would be with the man she loves. But what if she stayed and he didn't pick her? Then she would have lost her job and her heart wold have been broken. The odds were not in her favor, so she protected her heart.

Also, my prediction about Ali's return is only a fantasy. Reality Steve insists that ALI WILL NOT RETURN. Bummer!

Vienna is trash...there's no other way around it.

So Jake takes Tenley, Gia, and the tramp to St. Lucia next week...until then!

Jake - Episode 5

Still can't stand Vienna. I just don't understand why Jake keeps her around.

He had a great date with Ali, who surprisingly didn't want to discuss her disdain for Vienna. And when Jake pushed the subject, she remained calm, handled it well, and didn't talk bad about Vienna at all.

He admitted that he sees a different Vienna when he is with her. It just frustrates me that no one points out the fact that he was a victim of this kind of behavior during Jillian's season with Wes. It was the exact same thing: Wes was sweet and charming when he was with Jillian, and then a total jerk as soon as her back was turned. Oh well.

It looks like Ali is leaving on her own next week, just as the spoiler predicted. I just hope that my prediction plays out and Jake runs off after the final rose to give it to her.

Only a couple more weeks of this trash!
