So I mentioned that I am joining my neighbor in the "Couch to 5K" program - and all I have to say is: OUCH!

It is amazing how much it hurts when you haven't run in...hmmm...4 years! Running is so different from swimming and hurts a lot more. I thought that easing into the distances as instructed by this program would help in lessening the pain...WRONG!

I just hope that the pain starts to subside soon. At least the pounds are coming off more easily now!

I think it's funny how I haven't swum in 4+ yrs and you haven't run in 4 yrs. All I've done for exercise since college is run and sometimes I even enjoy it.

I've had a lot of friends do the Couch to 5K and like it a lot, after the initial pain wore off. :) Good for you!

ok, i just ran the 20 minutes without stopping, but i only went a mile and a half or so. why is my pace so lazy-ass slow?!?
