We had our 2nd doctor's appointment today. Everything seems to be progressing well. We heard the heartbeat for the first time (at a rate of 165!), which was amazing. What was more amazing was being able to catch a glimpse of the little one. Here is a profile:

It wasn't real until this afternoon! I was almost in denial that the big boobs, evening nausea, lack of the monthly visitor, and the extreme fatigue pointed to pregnancy. I needed the boost this afternoon to make it a complete reality!

It is amazing! The pictures are great. He/she looks wonderful. And hearing the heartbeat is amazing. David recorded it so we could listen to it at home. It is a wonderful noise.
I'm so excited for you. Hope the tiredness and sickness goes away soon. And, for the record, your boobs are going to get even BIGGER. Mine are out of control right now. Be prepared to have to buy lots of new bras!!

that's exactly what one of my fellow PA's said yesterday too! but we won't find out until april!
Yeah, just WAIT until your milk comes in. John didn't fully grasp that the boobs actually get BIGGER once you deliver. He was in awe, not necessarily in a good way. :)
